The brief was to renovate and design the kitchen, living room and bedroom of a basement suite to act as a Toronto pied-a-terre for the designer and her husband, and as a place where the homeowners could later age-in-place. The concept was a bright and modern architectural shell that used pops of colour via the couple’s travel photography and fabric choices to cheer-up the basement-level space.
